About the Journal
The Raya Journal of Science and Development (RJSD) is a biannual, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal established in June 2025 by Raya University, Ethiopia. It serves as a platform for the dissemination of original and impactful scientific research, with a strong emphasis on issues relevant to developing and underrepresented regions. As a multidisciplinary journal, RJSD fosters academic dialogue and knowledge sharing across diverse fields of science, engineering, technology, health, agriculture, education, social sciences, and development studies.

1. Aims and Scope
The aim of RJSD is to promote academic excellence and support sustainable development by publishing rigorous and original research that addresses pressing challenges across a wide range of disciplines. The journal seeks to bridge the gap between science, policy, and practice, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange for inclusive and context-driven development. Scope of the Journal includes, but is not limited to:

RJSD accepts a variety of manuscript types, including original research articles, systematic reviews, case studies, short communications, technical reports, and policy briefs. All submissions are expected to contribute to scientific knowledge, practical solutions, or policy frameworks that support local, national, regional, or global development goals.
3. Peer Review Policy
RJSD ensures a rigorous, unbiased double-blind peer review process. Key elements include:
- All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two qualified reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
- Reviewers and authors remain anonymous to preserve objectivity.
- The Editorial Board evaluates the quality, originality, methodology, and relevance of each submission.
- Turnaround timelines are optimized to ensure timely processing, with decisions typically rendered within 6–8 weeks.
- Reviews are based on merit, scientific accuracy, and ethical integrity.
4. Open Access and Licensing
RJSD operates under an immediate open-access policy, ensuring that all published content is freely accessible online to users worldwide. Authors retain the copyright of their work under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided proper citation is maintained.
